Lina is a playable hero in Banjoball. The unique Pull ability instantly links her to the ball, making her quickly accelerate to the ball until gaining possession of it. This ability allows her to travel great distances in a short time, good for both offense and defense.

Lina's ability makes her unrivaled in travelling long distances, but she might suffer in short distances as her pull needs to accelerate, here's a few ways to use it effectively.

Speedy counters:
While Anti-Mage is usually the main man for this, he usually runs out of mana quickly and might not reach the enemy goal if starting from your own goal. Lina on the other hand, can reach easily with pull + the normal sprint.

Speedy anti-counters:
If you're three man sieging the enemy goal but lose the ball and that enemy Anti-Mage is racing towards your goal with the ball, fear not, Lina will stop him, even if pulling to the ball fails to catch the ball, you will join the defense before anyone.

Offensive Pulls:
If you have the ball and want to move across the map quickly, just kick the ball in the direction you wish to travel and then simply pull to it. This is a very effective offensive utility Lina is capable of.

The Lina's skills are inspired by the Sorceress hero Warcraft 3 Banjoball, Szura Coh.
Szura Coh (Warcraft 3 Banjoball)

This hero was originally Lina during the Dota Strikers' alpha but was changed to Io to fit the Dota 2 skillset as opposed to the Warcraft 3 Banjoball appearance during release. However, after a few versions she was reverted back due to issues with Io's model.
